Glynn elves have been hard at work - Tom Glynn and Conner Glynn built a full size mega trampoline for a neighbor (we still have to figure out how the Santa elves are going to get this down the street at midnight ....) and Parker Glynn was a sous chef prepping all the goodies for tonight and tomorrow - next up - elf magic wrapping house!!! Happy Holidays to all - be safe - spend time with family and friends - and remember to be grateful for all we do for each other every day!

Last visit we hit up the Guinness factory and the Jameson Whiskey tour.
This time we sat at the Teeling Distillery bar. 60% alcohol drinks are a little hard to consume in large quantities!
Spent the day touring the coastal town of Howth just outside of Dublin.
Happened upon a fantastic free guided tour hosted by John Conner. A laugh a minute. "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story!' Highly recommended!

In case you may have missed it, the 1984 Miller High Life Toronto Marathon results have just been posted to Athlinks.com :) I found an old magazine with race results, scanned it with OCR software and sent it to Athlinks, which they graciously uploaded to their site. I was a lot faster then :)

Leaving Kona after 4 fast and furious days with Ironman events - always bittersweet - Tom Glynn and Steven Chavez are such amazing athletes and demonstrate how you can both work hard at a sport and be there for your wife, family, and friends - truly inspiring - the event is the hardest Ironman in the world and these guys know that they are the best that there is - there is never enough time to really enjoy the island (hence the bittersweet comment) but it cemented why what we do (support team) and what they do as athletes is simply a lifestyle that is without regrets - and we love it!!!!

Here is my latest swim video by the newest FMRC sponsor, Diablo Aquatics. I feel like I swim like an Olympian, but the video says otherwise! I had some video done by them about six months ago and have made significant progress in my swim times since then. I've spent the last 10 years of my triathlon career coming out near the bottom of the swim in my age group. At my last race in May, I ended up in the top third of my AG for the first time ever. Still, lots of work to do with sinking legs and hips. My hand position and catch need work too. More comments from the experts always welcome! Great clinic!

Day 5 - the weather is great for sitting by the pool - tougher to ride the hills but the kids persevered - tour of Chenanceau - amazing history - wine tasting at a chateau - and then some adult mileage thru the rolling hills and countryside - we missed the turn for the beautiful loop so opted to do this the next day!

Day 4 of cycling - Parker was the only kid to navigate the busy city of Amboise by bike - Conner was the only one who could out pace his dad up the hills - and I was the only woman to finish the entire course - another day of firsts - almost forgot - first time a hot air balloon has flown by my window in a castle
