Waiting For The Tour of California to Come up Mount Diablo Today

It's always fun when one of the premier cycling events n the world comes to California.  This year we were especially lucky because the tour came through our town, speeding past the local school, right by our house and then up the local mountain.  The kids all got a BBQ lunch and lined the school fence to watch.  Dianne worked from home and peered over the fence and I rode halfway up the mountain with a couple thousand of my closest friends.  They were gone in seconds, but still pretty cool to watch.

Conner's First Ever Twinkie!!

Conner watched the Super Bowl in January.  There was a commercial with Chevy truck owners being the only people to survive armageddon.  The only food they had were Twinkies.  That's when we found out that our kids had never heard of such food let alone ate one.

Skip forward  four months and Conner is wandering the shopping center with me when he comes upon a large Hostess Twinkies display.  He asks to buy one and I suggest he buy the entire box to share with friends.

The box went pretty quickly with Conner, Parker and the neighborhood kids but no one has asked for refills.
